So you are ready to create your first Job Posting on EventShopper.Com.

First of all what is a Job Posting? A Job Posting is a request from the Event Service Shopper to the Event Service Provider where details are expressed in plain simple English. In many cases a Job Posting is also referred to as an RFP (Request for Proposal) and a Service Request.

Here are some steps to take when creating a Job Posting for Event Service Providers.

1) Make sure you place your Job Posting in a proper category. For instance if you are looking to hire a Limo Chauffer, make sure it goes into the “Transportation” category, and into the “Limousine Service” subcategory.

Placing a job in a proper category is very important. Event Service Providers that subscribe to Job Posting Notifications for this category are automatically emailed about your Job Posting. If you were to, by mistake, post your Limousine request in the flower category, chances are you would get less Service Provider bids.

2) Be as descriptive as possible in your Request.

a. Title of your service request should say something like:

“Wedding Limousine Needed, For 4 Hours, Cadillac Preferred”

b. Detailed service description area is where you would describe everything you want the Event Service Provider to see. Here is an example:

“We are getting married on June 15, 2009 and would like to hire a Limousine service that provides a white Cadillac Deville that can fit 8 passengers. We don’t need a bar, or a church runner. We would like you to arrive in Formal Wear, and we will require your services for 4 hours. You will drive us to the photo studio, and from the photo studio to Central Park, and once we are done with the pictures, you will take us to Waldorf Astoria where we are holding our reception. Please include all gratuity fees in your final bid, we will be paying you through EventShopper.Com”

c. Questions or additional requirements section is the area where you would post any additional questions and requirements you have for the Event Service Provider you are going to hire. For instance:

“The driver must have a clean driving record, and be courteous.”

d. Keywords section is where you would define keywords related for this request, for instance “White Cadillac wedding”

e. Upload file attachments is the section you would actually upload photos describing your request. If you want to upload a photo of a white Cadillac or a certain design, or any idea that will help the Event Service Provider understand your request better, upload it here.
